School Bus Nanny/Cleaner Duties
- Greet students as they board the bus and help them find their assigned seats.
- Make sure students board and leave the bus safely.
- Assist students with their bags and lunchboxes. Make sure they are placed in the designated areas on the bus.
- Help students fasten their seatbelts. Make sure they stay properly fastened throughout the journey.
- Take and maintain attendance.
- Give extra care and support to students with special needs. Make sure they are comfortable and happy.
- Learn and adapt to each student’s medical, physical, communication, and emotional needs.
- Manage student behavior. Communicate with teachers and parents daily about student behavior on the bus.
- Learn all routes to and from the school campus to assist the driver.
- Help with cleaning services as required, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning in and around designated areas.
- Manage health and safety protocols to ensure student wellbeing and safety.
