Citycare Water is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join its team in Bombay. As part of New Zealand’s leading three waters infrastructure company, you will play a key role in maintaining and upgrading water networks to ensure communities have access to safe and reliable water services.
This hands-on role involves operating heavy machinery, supporting water infrastructure installation, and contributing to civil construction activities. The ideal candidate is skilled, safety-focused, and capable of working both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant and machinery such as excavators, rollers, trucks, and loaders
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all equipment
- Assist Water Installers in laying and fitting water mains and services
- Use and maintain hand tools effectively
- Perform general labouring tasks including cleaning, lifting, and site preparation
- Follow health and safety standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members on-site
Requirements
- Valid Traffic Management Qualification (essential)
- Experience in construction or civil works (Three Waters experience preferred)
- Proven experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery
- Full Class 1 & 2 driver’s licence with WTR endorsements (essential)
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
