War Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a 3rd Schedule Aged Rehabilitation hospital in Waverley. It is owned and operated by Uniting and is part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).
The hospital provides 24-hour inpatient care and Monday to Friday outpatient services. It also offers the iREAP Day Rehabilitation program and several specialist community teams. These include Transitional Aged Care, Geriatric Flying Squad, Young Onset Dementia, and a day centre program.

We are seeking experienced, hardworking, and reliable casual staff to join our team at War Memorial Hospital across Catering and Cleaning services.
Working in the beautiful grounds and heritage buildings of War Memorial Hospital, you will play an important role in supporting patients, staff, and the day-to-day operation of the hospital.
Casual Catering Positions
- Prepare and provide nutritious meals for patients in accordance with dietician assessments, dietary requirements, and hospital food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen duties.
- Ensure meals are prepared, presented, and delivered with care, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures.
- Work as part of a friendly and supportive catering team.
- Or Previous hospital, aged care, healthcare, or commercial catering experience is highly regarded.
- Applicants must be hardworking, reliable, and have excellent attention to detail.
Casual Cleaning Positions
