Key Accountabilities
- Welding Execution: Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Weld Inspection: Inspect welds to ensure full compliance with industry standards (such as ASME, API, and AWS) and project requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate, maintain, and properly set up all required welding tools and equipment.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for project execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with engineers, supervisors, and other disciplines on-site.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols, regulations, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
- Issue Reporting: Identify material, drawing, or process discrepancies, report them promptly, and propose workflow enhancements.
- Documentation: Maintain precise records including time sheets, inspection reports, and material usage logs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: High school diploma or a relevant technical diploma.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 to 8 years of direct, relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Manufacturing industries.
- Certifications: Welder certification (such as AWS Welder Certification) is highly desirable.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with industry regulatory standards.
